Phone App Desktop Emulators

Anyone familiar with desktop emulators for smartphone apps? These are applications to run phone apps on your desktop. I need to preview a smartphone app that our office might adopt that is unfortunately only compatible an Android Phone or the newest iPhone, which I don’t have. Anyone familiar with desktop emulators?
