# IMAP Mail Migration

Users could migrate their <span class="caps">IMAP</span> enable mailbox according to:

For example:

/usr/bin/imapsync —dry —host1 linux.sscnet.ucla.edu —password1 YourLinuxPassword —user1 LinuxUserName —host2 imap.gmail.com —password2 YourUCLAPassword —user2 <BOLUserName@g.ucla.edu> —ssl2

will migrating all imap folder (including mailbox, ~mail, and ~Mailbox) from linux.sscnet.ucla.edu to <span class="caps">BOL</span> email account. ‘—dry’ option will prevent real migration. Users have to make sure that there would be no conflicted folders before real migration (i.e. remove ‘—dry’ option)
