# What is Eduroam, how does it work, how prevalent is it on campus and does it use the usual UCLA authentication?

My understanding is that **[Eduroam](http://www.eduroam.org/)** **[(http://www.eduroam.org/)](http://www.eduroam.org/)**allows UCLA wireless authentication via either UCLA login, or visitors from other participating schools can log in with their school’s login.
