# Ultrabook Hard Drives

The ultrabook specification uses thinner than usual laptop hard drives. Some lightweight laptops, though not specifically ultrabooks, may also use these thinner 7mm z-height 2.5" <span class="caps">SATA</span> hard drives. Typically, these hard drives are single platter.
