# Who manufactured the LCD panel on my Dell UltraSharp?

If you have a Dell UltraSharp <span class="caps">LCD</span> monitor, and would like to check which company made the <span class="caps">LCD</span> panel, follow these steps:

1\. Make sure that the monitor is connected and is displaying an active video signal (e.g. the Windows Desktop, the <span class="caps">BIOS</span>, etc.)  
2\. Power off the monitor.  
3\. While holding down the Menu and + buttons on the monitor, power it back on.  
4\. After the video signal reappears, release the buttons, and press the Menu button once more.  
5\. In the menu that appears, look for a three-letter code on the top left area, to the left of “Dell”.
