Ruby on Rails Resources Ruby is a Japanese object-oriented scripting language that is meant to make programming fun. Ruby on Rails is a web programming framework built on Ruby, but strongly influenced by the rapid development of PHP and the organization and rigor (and testing) of J2EE. It uses Model-View-Controller framework and encourages separate development, testing and production environments. It even builds unit-testing stubs automatically.
