Finding the correct SRS # for course creation requests:

To get the SRS number for a course:

  1. Go to http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule/schedulehome.aspx (You can get there from www.ursa.ucla.edu and clicking on Schedule of Classes).
  2. Find the course that you want to create. Click “View Course”.
  3. The ID number is the SRS# for the corresponding course.
  4. If multiple discussion sections are listed under a lecture, hover over “Crs Info” and on the bottom of the screen the URL will display. Within the URL, you will find the course number for the LECTURE. An example of the number is 142042200, which is the number that is needed to create the course website for the lecture.
  5. If the course is listed for the tentative quarter, find the course on the Schedule of Classes and click “Submit”. You’ll then find the SRS# in the URL.

A file containing only the SRS numbers for the courses that need to be created should be saved as a .txt file in Notepad. Course creators need the SRS number for the LECTURE portion of any courses that are being created.
