Student enrollment and Add/drop behaviors in CCLE/Moodle

In the CCLE Moodle whyWhen do students whoget have dropped the class still receive email announcements?

Currently (Fall 2007) the CCLE Moodle student enrollments are only checked when they log in. So, if a student drops the class, but doesn’t loginaccess to the CCLE Moodleclass site anymore, their drop isn’t communicated to Moodle and they continue receiving email announcements. Obviously this isn’t ideal, and we are working on a better system.

Are wait-listed students given access to CCLE courseclass sites?

ThisYes, needsstudents toare beofficially confirmedlisted by watching behavior inon the beginningwait-list ofwill Winter 2008, but as of Dec. 2007 wait-listed students should be givenhave access to the courseclass sitessites. Students who are not on the wait-list, awaiting a PTE number, or auditing the class will not have access to the class site. They will need to ask their instructor for whichan they’reinvitation wait-listed.(from the class site) in order to access the site.

Do concurrently enrolled students through UCLA Extensions (UNEX Students) have access to the CCLE class sites?

Regular Students — UNEX Students
E: Enrolled — P: Pending
D: Dropped — A: Approved
W: Wait List — C: Cancelled
H: Held

The only students our script drops are C and D for Cancelled Extension Students and Dropped Students. W (waitlisted) are not dropped.
