Firefox 7 and Internet Connection Issues

In case you come across any users who might be running v7, or 7.01 of Firefox on Win x86 or x64, and complain of slow performance, can’t/won’t load pages, etc., while IE or Chrome have no problem, below is a tweak which may help. Early reports here say it fixes the problem.

Can’t help but think that the developers are getting blasted about this and will issue a fix at some point.

  • Enter about:config into the address bar;
  • Scroll down to the network.http.max-connections setting;
  • Change the value from 256 to 32;
  • Restart Firefox.

Thanks to Rich Thigpen in Factor/JCCC for digging this up.
