What is UCLA on iTunes U?

AIn kickoffconjunction meetingwith wasApple heldComputer, the Office of Instructional Development, the Office of Information Technology, and the UCLA Library have lead a collaborative effort to bring the iTunes U program to UCLA.

UCLA on April 27, 2006, to plan UCLA’s participation in Apple’s iTunes U.

Theis primarythe goalscampus’s instance of the iTunes U program, providing an easy means of distributing digital content. Users can “subscribe” to podcasts, which are then downloaded to their computer and can be transferred to a portable device, such as an iPod.

• Select content to pilot and make it available on UCLA on iTunes U.
• Post the selected content to a password-protected UCLA on iTunes U.
• Develop authentication with campus services.
• Develop 2 deployment processes
  • For current UCLA faculty, students & staff
  • For students in a specific course
• Develop content creation aids, guidelines, technical processes, FAQs, and other material to establish and sustain the project.
