Why can't I send mail from the UCLA servers from my home ISP (SBC-Yahoo)
SBC (AT&T) Yahoo now requires some users to use the SBC outgoing SMTP server with authentication.
The following is a link to the SMTP information for all SBC Yahoo domains:

Please note that this is an issue with SBC (AT&T) Yahoo’s SMTP server restriction and not Bruin OnLine email servers. If you wish, you can have SBC remove the port block they have implemented for your account. Please read the instructions at the above link, and fill out the form linked under instruction #4. Once SBC has removed the port block from your account, you can use UCLA’s SMTP server to send mail.
SBC Yahoo can be reached at 1-877-722-3755.
