What is the Frank Cofrancesco Excellence in Technology Award

Frank Cofrancesco was a pioneer in networking and technology support at UCLA in the 1980s and 1990s. He passed away from cancer in 1994, and this award is dedicated to his memory and the campus technologists who demonstrate the skills, vision, attitude, and generosity of both time and knowledge that epitomized Frank. The award is given out each summer based on nominations from the campus and final decision by a small committee of Frank’s peers. There is no money associated with the award but there is a plaque that the winner can display for a year and there is tremendous recognition in winning the award.
